If you're looking for a meal that's as nutritious as it is delicious, create a lunch or dinner around chicken tenders. Chicken tenders are thin strips of tender white meat that cook up quickly whether they're fried, baked or grilled. Serve the tenders breaded as convenient finger food for your children, or plain and sliced into your favorite recipes.

Oven-Fried Tenders

Oven-fried tenders are just as tasty and crispy as their deep-fried counterparts -- but with less fat and calories. Bread the chicken tenders with a flour, egg and panko bread crumb mixture. Bake the tenders until they are golden brown and serve alongside potato salad, baked french fries and a variety of dipping sauces, such as creamy ranch and bleu cheese.

Sweet and Sour Tenders

Jazz up plain chicken tenders with a homemade sweet and sour glaze. To create the glaze, simply combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, sesame oil and soy sauce and bring it to a boil on your stove top. Slide the tenders onto wooden skewers and brush them with the glaze. Cook the skewers on an outdoor grill or a grill pan, depending on the weather. Serve the tenders over jasmine rice and add a green salad to complete the meal.

Chicken Tender Parmesan

Delight your family with a new twist on boring spaghetti and meatballs. Cover chicken tenders with Italian-flavored bread crumbs and fry them in a skillet until they are golden brown. Scoop cooked spaghetti noodles onto individual plates and place two or three tenders on top. Ladle your favorite bottled or homemade spaghetti sauce over the top and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the dish. Round out the meal with a garden salad and garlic bread.

Chicken Tender Salad

Chicken tender salad makes a refreshing yet filling meal on warm summer nights. Pan-fry breaded or bake unbreaded chicken tenders, depending on your family's preferences. Cut the cooked strips into bite-size pieces and place them on top of a fresh salad featuring greens, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and carrots. Top the salad with light ranch or Caesar dressings, and serve it with warm bread or rolls.
